Games are a unique medium—interactive, systemic, collaborative. The GreenBoxGaming podcast is where we dig into what makes them work: the design decisions, the narratives, the communities that form around them.

The Format

Each episode is a conversation. We play games, we think about them, we talk through what we’ve found. Sometimes that means analyzing mechanics. Sometimes it means exploring the stories games tell and the stories players create within them.

Why Podcasting

Podcasting sits at the intersection of writing and music—you’re crafting something with words, but the delivery matters. Rhythm, timing, the texture of voices in conversation. It’s a different kind of making, but making nonetheless.

The medium also allows for the kind of extended, exploratory discussion that other formats don’t support. An hour-long conversation can go places that a written review or video essay cannot.
