Gilded Creatures, Ghost Cult, and the craft of sound.

Music

Shaping Sound

Music is making in a different register. Instead of steel and heat, you work with time and frequency. But the discipline is the same—listening closely, responding to the material, serving something larger than yourself.

Gilded Creatures

Gilded Creatures explores the space between melody and noise, structure and improvisation. The band is a collaborative laboratory where we test ideas and push each other toward sounds we couldn’t find alone.

Ghost Cult

Ghost Cult takes a heavier approach. The music is dense, layered, and deliberate—each part constructed to serve the whole. Playing in Ghost Cult has taught me about restraint, about knowing when not to play.

The Connection

What metal and music share: both require you to commit. A hammer blow can’t be taken back. Neither can a note once it’s in the air. This irreversibility focuses the mind and demands presence.

Both also reward practice over talent. The hands learn what the mind cannot teach. Show up, do the work, and the craft reveals itself over time.
